Innovation and Dissemination of Dance as Intangible Cultural Heritage - Chinese Folk Dance “Money Drum Dance”

What is Intangible Cultural Heritage?
Intangible cultural heritage refers to the traditional cultural expressions (such as folk activities, performing arts, traditional knowledge and skills, as well as related cultural relics and handicrafts) and cultural spaces that have been inherited from generation to generation by all ethnic groups and are closely related to the lives of the people. Intangible cultural heritage has five characteristics: intangible, living, inherited, regional and national, the most important of which is that it exists in an abstract and intangible form, and must be manifested through human or material expression in order to be felt, recognised and shared by human beings.
Intangible Cultural Heritage - Dance
Dance, as one of the important artistic expressions of intangible cultural heritage, plays a significant role in the transmission and dissemination of traditional culture and understanding of history. The concept of intangible cultural heritage refers to dances that have been created by previous generations and have been handed down from generation to generation throughout history by the people as traditional cultural forms or cultural heritage. It is characterised by a long history in terms of "time", a deep influence in terms of "space", an ancient, typical and unique "form", and a rich cultural heritage in terms of "content". However, in today's ever-changing world, with the development of the times, more and more new things come to us, people are gradually immersed in the wave of new culture, and gradually pay less and less attention to these ancient non-heritage dances. So how to make people pay more attention to and understand the non-heritage dance, innovation and dissemination is particularly important, my project will be carried out in the Chinese intangible cultural heritage "Money Drum Dance".
